This novel was obviously painstakingly researched. They’re on the run in the extreme cold in the endless night that is winter at the south pole.
One of the protagonists witnesses the murder and both are left behind with the bad guys chasing them down when the summer scientists and crew leave as the bad shit goes down. I’m not going to get into a lot of detail, but it’s a thriller involving a murder at the south pole science lab. Whiteout just cemented my fear of snow and ice, not to mention my deep and abiding dislike of extreme cold. Just like that book was better than most in its sub-genre, so to is Whiteout. It wasn’t until after I’d finished the romantic thriller WHITEOUT by Adriana Anders that I realized that it was by the same author that wrote Daddy Crush, which emmalita reviewed earlier this year.
